First day of Tokyo Orientation! 600 new JETs from all over (1400 total new JETs). Speeches and workshops all day.
My hotel roommate named Amanda is from Hawaii too with red hair. She got placed in Kobe.
Night time had prefecture dinner with Okinawa and Yamaguchi people. “Locked Up” Waitresses were ‘naughty police’ and ‘naughty nurses’ and random zombies/monsters came at random times and scared the guests. The drinks were “science” themed, served in graduated cylinders and flasks and test tubes… Not that good tasting, but it was all you can drink. there WAS one good drink tho.. it was like Kailua and milk, and you put like this oreo cookie in it… so yummy.
Coming out of the elevator of the restaurant I SAW PEREZ HILTON!!! I got a picture of the back of his head. HI PEREZ! (can you find him??)
We stayed at Keio Plaza Hotel… 5 star hotel SUPER nice… something I would never be able to afford! Thank goodness it’s all paid for! I don’t even want to know how much it cost to host over 1,400 JETs. Keio Plaza was my home for three nights, and it was definitely an upgrade from my Hawaii home (just joking papa!)
