When I first came into the office, the guys were of course in their office personalities. I went around and thanked everyone for the welcome party.
Went to the bank to try and open an account… They made us wait for an hour half.. wtf mate! and THEN they didn’t even give me a normal account! Since I’m a foreigner alien from another planet with three heads one eye and four legs, I had to get the “foreign account” which basically said that I cannot pay my rent/monthly bills by direct withdrawal… I have to physically go to the bank and withdrawal money, and physically go to my rent people/electricity people and pay them.. every month. Poop.
At least I got an account now. Then me and Yoshinobu head over to Softbank to discuss cell phone plans. That took a while. Yoshinobu, my supervisor, kinda reminds me of my grandpa. I think all the different plans were confusing him. I actually understood what the guy was trying to explain to Yoshinobu, but I kept quiet… Didn’t want to intrude.
I didn’t sign up for a plan yet. I need to sit down and figure out the math... assuming I’m only staying for one year, which one is cheaper?
a) the one-year plan with the iPhone with higher monthly bills
b) the two-year contract with the iPhone with lower monthly bills but I have to pay the cancelation fee if I cancel before the two-years.
There’s a special where if you sign up for the 2-year plan you get the 3G for FREEEE! But there’s also a special where if you sign up for the 2-year plan you get the 3GS for $150 (about). I realllllyyy wanted the 3GS but Toru says I should save my money… Poop. But he is totally right. the 3G was completely fine back on Oahu. And it’s free ninety nine. I got some decisions to make.
I’ll be back there on Monday my friends.
