When we go there, he busted out regular clubs from his car, and I thought.. Oh no this can’t be good. Turns out by “small” he meant 9-hole course. So, we started and I was horrible. But that’s okay.. it was about 6pm and it was HOT. I pretty much sweated my brains out. First-timer, but first time is always the best.
After, Yoshinobu took me home. I showered then he picked me up again with his lovely wife and daughter (who I will be teaching!) and headed over to the Izakaya with the other office dudes. They were all typical Japanese men who just liked to drink and talk and sing really loud. Super hilarious as they all attempted to speak engrish while slightly intoxicated.
…and then the famous ootori. That’s just basically where everyone makes a speech then pours awamori (a type of OKinawa sake?) for everyone. Yup. I made a speech. Let’s not go there.
It was good ‘ol fun. The guys are like bi-personalitied. Office personalities, all quiet and shy, and Izakaya personalities, loud and like monkies.
