Night time went out with Hawaii people.. Dana from Sunset, Merissa (?) from Iolani ‘05, Shane from I forget, Sean from all over, Matt from Lelihua, Robin from i don’t know, and Gary from Waipahu.
After dinner Shane MADE us walk through Kabukicho… which during Orientation the people told us NOT TO GO to Kabukicho b/c its dangerous with mafias and stuff….sketchyyyyy… But we went through it anyway b/c Shane wanted to… I was so scared and about to poop in my pants. Finally we got out of there and found our way back to the hotel… whew.
When we got back to the hotel, we found a group of JETs (about 18 ppl)who were about to head out so me, Dana, and Shane decided to tag along with them… And so we started to walk.. and walk… and walk.. Felt like whoever was leading the pack had no destination.. We walked FOREVER I had no idea where we were/how long we were walking for, when suddenly we stopped… at a gay bar. I guess that was our destination.. what we walked half an hour for. Later I found out this tall haole (gay?) guy was the person who we were all following. okkaaaaaayyy….
At the gay bar, the actual bar where you order the drinks was this little room, and then you had to take the drink outside to the streets and drink it there cuz there was no room… so the street just had a street full of people (gay people) drinking drinks.
At the gay bar we met a girl named Kelly from Michigan (she was not gay, I don’t think). She was meeting a friend so me, Dana, and Shane tagged along with her. We headed back towards the hotel a different route. Around, over, and through a bunch of train stations, and before I knew it, we were a block away from the hotel! Sweet.
After me, Kelly, Dana, and Shane met up with two of Kelly’s friends, we went to a restaurant and ordered some beers (and Calpis SO good!.. Calpis on the side, not in the beer duh). When we FIRST sat down this really yakamashii guy was talking to us so we moved… 20mins later he came to our table and sat down and started talking to us… This guy had curly hair past his shoulders, and called himself a Jewish Japanese. His hair was kind of like Jason Noh’s but longer. He was definitely Jewish alright. “Why are you hea inu Japanu? Iz it foa da money? Iz it foa fun? Whyyyy?” Dana Shane and Kelly’s friend were so awesome they were like “does it matter? can you please leave.”.. Took him about 10mins to leave.
We ordered karaage (friend chicken) and it came with this interesting sauce… THAT WAS THE BEST THING EVER! So Kelly’s friend asked the waiter what kind of sauce it was because it was TOTTEMO OISHII and the waiter giggled, bobbed his head, and walked away… we were like.. okkkaaay? so is he not going to tell us?? It must have been a secret receipt that he would have been shot in the head if he told us or something. what ever MMmmMM it was so good.
Got back to my room at 1am. That was a long night but totally worth it. I couldn’t sleep tho because the last drink I had had like this energy drink thing in it… so I stayed up playing Cooking Mama on my DS. Thanks Mika!
